GARNETT VALLEY, PA – August 23, 2012 / – The Darlington Arts Center is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of selected images by fine art photographer Laird M. Bindrim. The exhibit will open in late summer 2012. Living on the banks of The Schuylkill River, Laird works primarily in the Philadelphia Tri-State Region. Having exhibited widely on the West Coast and Mid-West regions of the US, this will be the first local exhibition of his work.
The selected photographs are part of a body of work that explores imagery influenced by the American Culture. The exhibition is intended as a visual tribute to the unique ways Americans present themselves through their architecture and way of life. The exhibition will open August 23, 2012, with an opening reception from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and run through September 25, 2012.

Laird M. Bindrim’s photographs are represented in the collections of several corporations, including PECO Energy, PwC International, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Saint Joseph’s University and Cigna Corp. He is also the recipient of three publication awards for his photography in the art book “Stained Glass in Philadelphia”. He is currently working on a project documenting The Schuylkill River.
