Our art competition for May was “Figurative” and we asked artists for their best interpretation of this theme by depicting the human form or any human features. “Figurative” was considered to be figures, forms and faces either in the representational or abstract genre.
The submission process and competition for the artists began in the middle of April 2012 and concluded on May 29, 2012. We received 731 entries from 19 different countries from around the world, including the Australia, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Ireland, Netherlands, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. In addition, we received entries from 33 different states.
